Four of Cups

Four of Cups – The Offer from Spirit

Beneath the moonlit gum trees, a weary swagman sits by his swag, lost in thought. His three cups lie before him, empty and dulled by dust. Overhead, Bonnie the cockatoo descends with a fourth cup — radiant, shimmering with light — an offering from Spirit. Yet the swagman’s gaze remains fixed on the ground, unaware that grace has landed beside him.

This card speaks to moments when we turn inward so deeply that we forget to look up. When the heart is tired, even blessings can pass unnoticed. Spirit’s gifts may not always arrive in the form we expect — sometimes they come through a friend’s call, a sudden idea, or the quiet insistence of a white-winged messenger who refuses to give up.

The Four of Cups asks you to lift your eyes from what feels lost or lacking. To soften the walls around your heart and make space for renewal. Something luminous is being offered — will you notice, and drink?

Affirmation:

“I open my heart to receive the gifts that Spirit places before me.”

Reflection Questions:

• Where have I grown numb or disconnected from what once brought joy?

• What blessings might I be overlooking right now?

• How might Spirit be inviting me back into flow?
